About Us
Welcome to our online vintage fashion shop where we're bringing beautiful, original vintage and antiques to New Zealand. We started Halcyon Days Vintage in 2022 and have been sharing our curated collection ever since.
We struggled to find an easy way to shop pre-1980s clothing and accessories in New Zealand, so with a growing collection of vintage Halcyon Days Vintage was created.
Our foundations lie in a love for fashion history and an appreciation of past knowledge and skill. We are also passionate about moving away from fast fashion.
Our goal is to source, rejuvenate, and promote classic forms and fabrics from the 19th century to the 1970s, find loving homes for these special garments, let them be worn and cared for and hopefully reduce our impact on the environment while doing so.
Halcyon Days Vintage is the result of many years of collecting, researching, 3 am alarms, driving, hunting, winning, losing, exhilaration and love, all for objects of virtu to inspire us and to nurture back to life.
While we are an online shop, we sometimes bring the shop to special events and markets, like the 2023 Beauty School Drop In in Auckland and the 2024 Slow Fashion market in Whangārei.
