The prettiest frilly late 1950s/early 1960s floral day dress by London label Ricci Michaels. The dress features a fitted waist, gathered circle skirt and elbow length sleeves with a double frill cuff. The neckline is a simple scoop with a double ruffle finished with a cute little central bow. The fabric is light and floaty georgette with a beautiful striped floral print in a pinky-purple, grey and two tones of orange on a white backdrop. The dress is lined in white man-made rayon, except for the sleeves leaving them slightly sheer. There is a long metal zipper at centre back making it easy to slip on and zip up by yourself. Seams have been overlocked. Overall she is a beautiful cottage princess dress for market hopping and spring picnicking. Ricci Michaels was a high quality fashion brand operating out of London’s Mayfair district in the 1950s and 1960s.
