This retro shirtwaist has the hallmarks of a Greece lightning, bowling alley and ice cream sundae fantasy. The classic shirtwaist shape features short sleeves, a simple collar and nipped waist with double pleats all the way around a full circle skirt. The front is fully buttoned up with the small synthetic buttons placed in pairs. Made in medium weight, mint green, unlined and non-stretch cotton by American label Nan Leslie. This day dress is an original late 1950s to early 60s piece. Nan Leslie was a sister brand to labels Tammy Andrews, Stacy Ames, and Kelly Arden all under the parent Stacy Ames Company. Roll up the cuffs, add a statement belt and fluffy petticoat and she’s ready to go!
