Here is a beautiful mid-late 1940s vintage dress that is classy enough to be worn in the office and to dinner and drinks after. Details include a pleat at each shoulder, deep ‘V’ neckline, fitted waist and straight skirt giving that slightly boxy Forties silhouette. A metal side zipper and front buttons down to the waist make this one easy to slip on. The sleeves are ¾ length which end at a slight taper with nice detailing of three gathered pleats at inner wrist. Fabric is black rayon with a slight sheen that is quietly glamorous and has a light-medium weight silky feel that will be lovely to wear. Special features are the soutache patterns accented with diamantes set in metal clasps on the collar and outer pockets, and of course the pockets are fully functional! (although not especially deep). We think this dress has probably been taken up as it is proportionally quite short and has c. 6cm/2 inches that could be let down.
