Joyce Shoes opened during the depression years and by the 1940s they became one of California’s biggest shoe manufacturers, popular for their casual wedge heeled shoes and slippers. This low heeled, slingback sandal reflects their development into the trends of the 1960s. The box is labelled “Another fine product of the United States Shoes Corporation” which acquired Joyce in 1955.
