A fun 1960s/70s sheer A-line ribbon dress for layering up at the beach or boogying the night away. Made from cream crochet and ribbon knitted together to give it a textural look. The fit can be loose or fitted with slightly flared 3/4 length flared sleeves. Hems are finished with bias binding. It is simple and chic with a simple round neckline and a fabric covered button at back of neck. This piece has a strong 1970s festival vibe and is an easy way to add vintage to your wardrobe.
This dress once belonged to fashionista and intrepid traveller, the late Stella Veitch. Stella was known for her taste for well made, fashionable clothing and her independence as a single woman travelling the globe during a time when it was uncommon for women to do so. We love this dress and the story it tells, imagining it neatly folded in a suitcase journeying through 1960s Africa and the Middle East.
