Pink 1950s Camp Corset by Berlei Made in NZ

Availability: In stock

The iconic Camp corset by Berlei! Originally made as a supper supportive foundation garment it has multiple adjustable lacing panels, hardware and boning. It is made out of medium weight, pale salmon-pink treated cotton with ribbed elastic panels at side waist and bottom front and back. There are white elastic suspender straps that have at some stage been added to replace the original ones, with a mix of metal and plastic hooks. The sides are laced up ¾ of the length each with two elastic straps attached to the laces which are tightened and held in place by metal sliders. Behind the laces are panels of cotton and wide ribbed elastic.

A fully openable front side closure is done up with metal hook eyes. Four boning channels at the back provide lower back support. A elastic strap with metal slider is sewn to the back waist and helps to cinch the waist in. This vintage Camp corset is one for the bold fashionistas or someone who is a history lover. It is a fun display piece or a wearable fashion item.
