A mid-century peach cutie that’s the perfect piece to start your vintage wardrobe. Made from a medium weight cotton and synthetic (rayon?) blend weave. It was probably home-made and appears to be early 1960s. There are free shaped shoulders and short sleeves, while darts at the bust create shape down to the fitted waist. The skirt front has interesting detailing of sewn down pleats with central panel. White cotton muslin lines the skirt and it is subtly A-line in shape. There is a side waist zipper.
Comes with a self-fabric belt that is stiffened with interlining but it is quite short and lacks a fastener so was not pictured on model. A brooch could be used to fasten it and add personality. This dress is an easy wear for changing seasons and can be transitioned easily for different events.
