A delightful piece of deadstock vintage lingerie in pastel yellow with original pink tag by brand Lovable. This is an authentic bullet bra with cone shaped cups coming to points and is essential to recreate that 1950s-1960s silhouette, whether for a daywear shirtwaist or an evening cocktail gown. This specific design in wireless and has moulded cups with a horizontal seams with an elastic panel at front chest and also at the two back sections of net by the hook and eye closures. The cups and partial side panels are lace covered. The satin bands below the bust are non-stretch as are the nylon straps. The straps are adjustable at the front and the band has two hook and eye sizes. The store label says “It costs so little to look Lovable only $3.99”. The elastic is in good wearable condition and could be replaced easily in the future.
The Lovable Brassiere Co. was an international brand but had individual manufacturers and as such this piece was made here in New Zealand. One of Lovable’s taglines was “each as efficient as they are pretty…”.
Fits like modern size 32B/10B Size S (you probably won’t fill the bra all the way to the points of each cup. Women often wore triangular pads to stuff the points of their bullet bras!)
