A most striking New Zealand made 1960s/70s dress, all in black with the flourish being a spectacular rainbow bird of paradise or phoenix in centre back of the attached cape, made by Michael Jonathon. The main dress is a simple black shift, sleeveless with a slight A-line shape making this piece a perfect little ‘black dress’. Material is a slightly stretchy polyester crepe that is wrinkle free and easy to launder. Built into the shoulders is the super fun cape that drapes over the arms and back coming to a point centre back and accented by black fringe. This dress is ready for fun and movement! The only closure is the row of small plastic buttons below the gently scooping neckline.
