A beautiful full length, 1930s pale salmon night gown with romantic embroidered peach and white flowers and fluttery lace sleeves. Made in NZ by Canterbury, who specialised in knit fashions. The fabric is a rayon knit which is silky smooth and glides over your curves, with a slight two way stretch. It is not sheer but definitely a bit clingy so will need the right underwear or a slip to take her out of the house. There is a gentle ‘V’ neckline with narrow white lace trim which also trims the hemline. Shape is created at the under-bust with a seam and gathering. Two shaped white lace inserts run up the skirt from the front hem are scattered with embroidered flowers. The full length skirt has a gentle narrow A-line and a straight hem. A beautiful piece for lounging at home, being glamorous in bed or even out to a special event.
