A beautiful salmon pink rayon girdle with lace trim made by British brand Spencer. There are two boned sections (synthetic) at the front and six at the back, all of which have two bones running from top to bottom to give you support and providing a structured base for your dress or skirt to sit well on. An asymmetric metal zip runs almost to the bottom hem and is reinforced with a row of metal hook and eyes behind it. A panel of salmon pink velvet backs this fastening which is soft against the skin.
Two thick elastic triangular panels sit at each side of the front for ease of movement. There are two wide suspender hooks with metal fastenings at front and two at back sides. The fabric itself is medium weight and has little stretch and has a subtle pattern of vertical stripes. This is a super pretty piece that has a sheen like satin making it reminiscent of earlier period corsets. It is wearable for helping achieve a smooth 1930s and 40s silhouette or would look gorgeous as a boudoir or display piece.
