A flower power mod dress and jacket set made by Alex Garay. The dress is an iconic 1960s piece in fawn and white with a short sleeved lightly ribbed top and A-line skirt with diamond print that is textured. A fawn and white floral ribbon highlights the waist and mock neck. It has darts shaping the bodice and a long back zipper. The straight cut jacket has a fully button up front and faux pockets on the front. Both are unlined but made from super comfortable medium weight, polyester crimplene fabric that holds its shape well and has a soft spongy feel. This matching set is straight out of the days of Twiggy and seen in favourite series like The Queen’s Gambit.
Alex Garay Ltd. was founded by its namesake and his wife Sheri in Israel in the 1950s and was transported to New York’s Seventh Avenue. The Slovakian couple lived an amazing life through WWII and worked together in their business until they moved back to Tiburon.
